What Is Militia Immaculata (MI)?
The Militia of the Immaculata (MI) is a worldwide evangelization movement founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917. The movement encourages Total Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary, where individuals or families entrust themselves to the care of Mary (our spiritual mother), asking her to guide them closer to Jesus and help them grow into holiness. The ultimate goal is to dedicate oneself entirely to God through her intercession, not to worship her. Consecration is a deep devotion to Jesus through Mary. The spiritual benefits help lead a greater progress in the spiritual life and deeper trust in God.
(MI-GTA) The Official Entity of the GTA Association
Mission Immaculatae GTA (MI-GTA) is the official entity of the Association in the Greater Toronto Area (Peel, York, Halton, Durham), and is fully approved by the Archdiocese of Toronto. We are an extension of the Militia Immaculata Canada.
Note: For those who have already consecrated to Our Lady by doing the St. Louis de Montfort's 33 day preparation, or any other formal consecration to Our Lady, you can still choose a Marian feast day and enrollment in the MI, and renew your consecration by reciting the Act of Consecration to Mary composed by St. Maximillian Kolbe. When you enroll with MI Canada, you will receive your FREE MI certificate in the mail and miraculous medal.
